No Mayor Elected for 2013

SpinDizzy residents chose “no mayor” on the 2013 ballot, resulting in the position being officially vacant for the year. Forty-six instant runoff ballots were cast, although some ballots did not rank all available options. In the first round, “no mayor” had a plurality with 19 votes, leaving a majority to split votes between the candidates. Ultimately, “no mayor” won in the fifth round against runner-up Garrison by a margin of two votes.

The Elections Department has stated that they expect to hold an election again in 2014.
