Second Building Class Leaps into Action
Professor BunnyHugger’s building class continued this Sunday at the SpinDizzy Center of Arts and Science (S2 W1). More students attended the second session: Beltrami (balloon rat), J.P. (winged squirrel), Austin (coati), Casandro (winged lion), Chandra, Garrison (skunktaur), GreenKai (norn) and Claude (lolcat) with Featherwing (eevee), Niny’ah (seirmerine) and Royce (raccoon) joining later.
This second class started with students showing off their homework — an object to be given behaviors once they learned how to do that. After a brief introduction concerning the public library programs, Professor BunnyHugger presented a chart summarizing what linking an object to another does depending on their respective types, and discussed it in ample detail. The topic of properties was brought up again, then discussion focused on those used for setting success and failure messages. Another chart supported this part of the lesson, which, like linking, proved to be surprisingly deep (mostly due to the way MUCKs developed over time).
The next lesson — which is expected to cover zombies (not the brain eating kind, hopefully) — will be postponed by a week.
Claude’s log is available as usual for those who could not be present.
